January 21st, 2009 by Monomono

Cyborg 009 is a japanese manga created by Shotaro Ishimoto in 1963.
It is the tale of nine regular humans kidnapped by the evil Black Ghost organization to undergo human experiments. The result of this tampering are nine cyborgs, each one having super human powers. The nine cyborgs band together to fight for their freedom and to stop Black Ghost. The evil organization’s goal is to start the next world war, by supplying any rich buyers with their choice of countless weapons of war and mass destruction.

Shotaro Ishinomori was an influential figure in manga, anime and tokusatsu who created several immensely popular long-running series such as Cyborg 009 and the Kamen Rider Series.

Sculpted by Enoki Tomohide from KAIYODO.

Disse Cyborg 009 figurer er for første gang lavet således at action og bevægelserne fra tegneserien er overført til de tre-dimensionelle figurer. Disse figurer er lavet af det meget berømte model-firma KAIYODO.

Takashi Murakami

Convenience Store Edition – SUPER FLAT MUSEUM

Takashi Murakami is a prolific contemporary Japanese artist who works in both fine art media, such as painting, as well as digital and commercial media. He blurs the boundaries between high and low art. He appropriates popular themes from mass media and pop culture, then turns them into thirty-foot sculptures, “Superflat” paintings, or marketable commercial goods such as figurines or phone caddies. This resulted in Superflat, the style that Murakami is credited with starting. It developed from Poku, (Pop+ otaku). Murakami has written that he aims to represent Poku culture because he expects that animation and otaku might create a new culture.
